Camp Mountain Bike and Rec Trails
There are two main ways up to the Camp Mt summit on dirt and both are very challenging climbs.
The shorter ride starts at the top of McLeans Rd and is exactly 1.2 k’s long finishing at the picnic grounds. This is an intense and very steep fireroad, that will test the strength of any rider.
The longer way up starts within a few metres from the shorter way but it meanders around the side towards Bellbird Grove before starting a 2 km climb that has a couple of descents before also culminating in a very tough 1 km climb ending at the towers on the bitumen rd going up Camp Mt from Mt Nebo Rd. Like the shorter way, this climb will push most riders very hard indeed.

Samford Eco-Corridor team
Samford Eco-corridor is a Samford and District Progress and Protection Association project proudly funded by the Queensland Government’s Everyone’s Environment grant program and the Moreton Bay Regional Council.
We are focused on improving the area around the river at Samford Parklands. This is a long-term project that involves clearing the area of invasive weeds, replanting with indigenous species, and creating a natural corridor that enhances the ecosystem, protects the river and provides a natural area for the benefit of people as well as wildlife.
Please join in and help as much or as little as you can at Planting Days or monthly weeding sessions – all help is appreciated!

Samford State School in focus
Samford school can be considered a large school by enrolment, our school is enveloped within a wonderfully close knit community and that warm country school feel endures still today.
The school has adopted the ‘You Can Do It’ program as a means of developing the important foundation attributes of Organisation, Persistence, Confidence, Getting Along and Resilience. This program plays an important role in daily life at the school.
There is a strong sense of pride at Samford State School; pride in the magnificent grounds, in the very high academic achievements of the children, in the children’s appearance and conduct, the teaching standards, the facilities and the general resources. We hope that you and your children will look back on your years at Samford with pride too, and fond memories of hard work, rewarding experiences and life-long friendships.
I value the partnerships we make with parents and look forward to working with you to ensure your child develops the skills they need to successfully participate in an ever growing and complex world.
